New guidance from the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) highlights the significant overlap between menopause and Long Covid, particularly for women aged 35–54 and those working in health and social care.

The document sets out how overlapping symptoms can delay diagnosis and support, and calls for holistic, person-centred assessment, better workplace adjustments, and improved access to specialist services. It also emphasises the urgent need for more research into prevention, treatment, and the disproportionate impact on women and healthcare workers.
