When we think about Long Covid, we often focus on the individual living with the condition. This study highlights a broader reality: many people rely on family members and friends for practical and emotional support while navigating ongoing symptoms.

For healthcare workers, this can be particularly complex. Many continue to care for children, partners, parents, friends and patients while managing their own health challenges.

As we mark the end of Carers Week, this research reminds us that Long Covid affects not only those living with the condition, but also the wider networks of care around them.
