Are you ready to make a difference? Why not volunteer with Supporting Healthcare Heroes UK (SHH-UK) and become part of a dynamic team dedicated to supporting healthcare workers living with Long Covid in the UK.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, healthcare workers across the UK have faced one of the biggest challenges of their live and many of them have developed Long Covid. Our charity was set up to support healthcare workers who have contracted Long Covid. We are looking for more volunteers to help us do this.

Below is an overview of some of the opportunities to volunteer with Supporting Healthcare Heroes UK (SHH-UK).

Could you be a member of one of our committees?

SHH-UK has several committees

  • Fundraising Committee
  • Community, Communications and Content Committee
  • Business Planning and Service Design Committee
  • Governance, Risk and Finance Committee

We are looking for volunteers to serve on these committees. For more information on what it means to be a committee member, click here.

If you would like to become a member of one of our committees, there are two ways to apply:

Could you help us with administration?

Running a charity like SHH-UK involves a lot of administrative tasks. If you are good at taking notes, answering queries and keeping everything organised, then this could be the perfect role for you.

At the moment we are particularly keen to find a volunteer to help manage our online drop-in sessions for healthcare workers with Long Covid. Our social media team is made up of volunteers who work together to manage our online presence and support our mission to support healthcare workers with Long Covid in the UK.

Social Media & Communications Lead

We are looking for someone to lead our social media & communications team. Please find the description of the role here.
