The Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) has welcomed the publication of the UK COVID-19 Inquiry’s Module 3 report, recognising its acknowledgement of the extraordinary contribution made by healthcare workers during the pandemic.

RCOT highlights the report’s findings that infection prevention and control guidance was inadequate, leaving many healthcare workers insufficiently protected.

The organisation has called for lessons from the pandemic to be acted upon, including stronger protections against airborne infectious diseases and better support for healthcare staff whose health continues to be affected by COVID-19.
