Introduction

Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, healthcare workers (HCWs) in the UK are living with the effects of Long Covid. Supporting Healthcare Heroes UK (SHH-UK) is a charity set up to stand shoulder to shoulder with these frontline champions.

Summary of Blogs

In a series of blogs over the past 11 days, we’ve delved into SHH-UK’s comprehensive support framework for HCWs grappling with Long Covid. We’ve also shared the stories of five HCWs living with Long Covid.

Aims and Support:

Our mission is clear (Figure 1): to offer holistic assistance encompassing financial aid, advocacy, research dissemination, and promotion of better indoor air quality. We will provide grants to ease financial burdens, offer guidance on benefit navigation, and support HCWs contemplating ill health retirement. Moreover, we will foster connections and amplify voices to combat isolation.
